Dodgers Heading to World Series Monday, October 21st , 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers won a nail-biting series against the New York Mets 4-3, wrapping up the League Championship Series finale 8-7 at Dodger Stadium. Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman was named the series MVP. He batted .438, drove in 7 runs and scored 7 to lead Los Angeles into the next round of play. "Freddie was real solid for us, real solid," said Dodgers manager Sam Saunders. "I normally say I'd like to have nine of him out there, but thankfully we got by with just one this time."
