Astros Advance to World Series Friday, October 18th , 2024 Fans at Minute Maid Park saw the League Championship Series come to a close today, as the Houston Astros defeated the New York Yankees by a score of 7-2, and advanced to the World Series. Houston won the series 4-1 and will now continue their march toward the World Series. "It feels good to be moving on, I can't deny it," said right fielder Kyle Tucker, who was named series MVP. "Not everyone thought we'd make it this far." The Houston Astros don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Los Angeles Dodgers - New York Mets series.
