Sunday, June 4th , 2028
The streak is alive and well -- at least for today.
Leody Taveras did it again, bashing 1 hit in the contest at Guaranteed Rate Field. For the last 20 games in a row, the 29-year-old center fielder has collected at least one hit. His efforts helped the Chicago White Sox beat the Milwaukee Brewers, 8-0.
"I'm happy I kept the streak going," Taveras told a standing-room-only crowd of reporters gathered in the Chicago clubhouse. "Honestly though, I'm looking forward to going home and not thinking about this for the rest of the day." Leody Taveras struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th and struck out in the 8th.
Taveras is currently hitting at a .297 pace with 5 home runs and 17 RBIs. He has played in 53 games and scored 29 times.
