Dodgers Prevail, as Division Series Goes to the Wire Friday, October 11th , 2024 The Los Angeles Dodgers players streamed onto the field at Dodger Stadium in jubilation, while heads were hung and few words were spoken in the St. Louis Cardinals clubhouse at the conclusion of the Division Series. In a series that had a bit of everything and went the distance, Los Angeles won the final game 11-0 and the series 3-2. "It's hard to describe what we're feeling right now," said Los Angeles right-hander Dustin May, whose strong pitching performance in the series garnered him MVP honors. "You square off against a good team like St. Louis and anything can happen. Both teams deserved to go on, but thankfully it's us." For the series, May had a 0.00 ERA over 11 innings pitched. He added 12 strikeouts with a 2-0 record. The Los Angeles Dodgers will play against the New York Mets in the next round. New York won their series against the Atlanta Braves 3 games to 2.
