Braves Move on to Division Series Thursday, October 3rd , 2024 The joy and relief on the faces of the Atlanta Braves players was obvious as they celebrated their Wildcard Series win over the Chicago Cubs. "In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Atlanta catcher Sean Murphy, shortly after the 4-2 win that clinched the series 2-1. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done." The team is now off to the Division Series. Murphy won series MVP honors on the strength of his .600 batting average during the series. He also had a .636 on-base percentage and 3 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs. The Atlanta Braves will play against the New York Mets in the next round.
