Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Thursday, August 8th , 2024 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's San Francisco-Washington contest at Oracle Park. The Giants Brandon Crawford and the Nationals MacKenzie Gore will have to sit out 4 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. This season Crawford has banged out 88 hits in 378 at-bats for a .233 average with 11 home runs. He is getting on base at a .305 pace and his totals also include 42 RBIs and 40 runs scored. This year Gore has a 4-8 mark in 23 starts with a 5.50 ERA. He has given up 135 hits in 113 innings, struck out 96 and issued 51 walks. Opposing clubs have compiled a .299 batting average against him. |
