Blue Jays, Mets Swap Players Monday, June 3rd , 2024 In a move that has fans in both cities buzzing, the Toronto Blue Jays and the New York Mets have agreed to a deal that will have 30-year old RHP Jose Berrios heading to New York in exchange for 25-year old minor league RHP Zebulon Vermillion, 20-year old minor league RHP Christian Little, and 22-year old minor league RHP Nolan McLean. Provided they pass a physical, the players should be with their respective teams in time for tomorrow's games. Toronto will retain a portion of Berrios's remaining contract. Berrios has made 12 starts so far this year and put up a 6-5 won-lost record with a 5.08 ERA. In 62 innings he has allowed 63 hits, walked 21 and struck out 39. |
