Triple-A East Top Player Is Carrillo
Monday, October 18th , 2032
At the age of 22, Jordan Carrillo of the Jacksonville Jumbo Shrimp could very well have his best years ahead of him.
It's a startling thought when you consider the year he had in 2032 was good enough to win the center fielder the Triple-A East Most Valuable Player Award.
"See the ball, hit the ball," he said. "That's my basic approach."
The top hitter put up a .395 batting average this year, as well as a .450 on-base percentage. He played 122 games and racked up 168 hits, 30 doubles, 9 triples, 25 home runs, 98 RBIs and 89 runs scored.
He received 13 first place votes out of a possible 20. Jeff Fleming of the Louisville Bats finished second in voting with 7 first place votes, while Jeremy Whiffen of the Louisville Bats finished third.
