Injury Forces Yordan Alvarez Out Tuesday, June 26th , 2029 "I'm frustrated right now," said San Francisco first baseman Yordan Alvarez. "I can't help this team by sitting on the bench or in the training room." Unfortunately for the Giants, that's where he will be spending 6 weeks. Alvarez suffered a torn abdominal muscle in today's game against Los Angeles while running the bases. "Believe me," he said, "I won't be out a day longer than I have to be." This season Alvarez is batting .256 with 73 hits, 19 home runs, 50 RBIs, .362 OBP and has scored 55 runs. |
