This Week's Star Player is Kohlmeier Monday, June 25th , 2029 26-year-old Steve Kohlmeier sent shock waves through COBB last week with an eye-popping performance that brought him the American League Player of the Week Award. A newcomer to the league, Kohlmeier made the establishment sit up and take notice, punishing opposing pitchers with a .600 average, 9 hits in 15 at-bats, 2 home runs and 8 RBI. Where the Toronto Blue Jays catcher goes from here, only the baseball gods know for sure, but Kohlmeier certainly made his mark last week. This season Kohlmeier is swinging the bat at a .234 rate with 47 hits in 201 at-bats. To date he has hit 11 home runs, scored 23 runs and driven in 31. |
