Simonds Injured, Day-to-Day Saturday, June 23rd , 2029 Steve Simonds, the talented Chicago star, suffered a sore forearm yesterday in the game with the Dodgers, which could keep him out of today's lineup. "I'm a bit banged up," said the 22-year-old starting pitcher, "but we won't know until game time if I can play or not." Simonds got hurt while throwing a pitch. The team doctor said he could be out up to one week. To date this year Simonds has compiled a 1-3 mark with a 3.48 ERA in 13 starts. |
