Royals Owner Dead, Kansas City Mourns Thursday, October 19th , 2028 It's a somber time for the Kansas City Royals organization. They have lost owner John Sherman, who passed away recently due to illness. The team announced funeral arrangements this afternoon at a press conference in Kauffman Stadium. Services will be held tomorrow afternoon in the city. As far as who his successor will be, it was clear that his son John Sherman will take over as the new owner. In recent years as a training device, the elder Sherman has given his son important positions in the Kansas City Royals organization. Kansas City insiders indicated off-the-record that the younger Sherman would be economizer money-wise and unmerciful in personnel decisions. |
