Kansas City Win Wild Card Game Monday, October 2nd , 2028 The Houston Astros were simply overmatched by the Kansas City Royals in the Wild Card Game. The end result was a sweep, as Kansas City has cruised to the Division Series, with the final win coming at Kauffman Stadium by a score of 5-4. "We're clicking and running on all cylinders at the moment," said Sam Yeager, who was named MVP of the Wild Card Game. "We're a dangerous team when we play like this." For the series, Yeager hit .556 with a .600 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 2 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Kansas City Royals will play against the Texas Rangers in the next round.
