Ted Weilert Injured, Out for Season Monday, September 25th , 2028 The season is finished for Ted Weilert of the Cleveland Indians. The club announced today that he will forego the rest of the year because of injury. The Indians reliever suffered a torn labrum while throwing a pitch in a recent game against the Kansas City Royals. Team doctors said it would take at least 11-12 months to heal. For the season Weilert has made 8 relief appearances, recorded no saves and compiled a 3-0 won-lost mark and a 2.13 ERA. In pitching 12.2 innings, he has totaled 21 strikeouts and 12 walks. |
