Tatis Jr. Smacks 4 Homers Against Detroit Sunday, September 24th , 2028 Minnesota Twins shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr. totally decimated the Detroit Tigers today, finishing with 4 home runs in a 13-5 Minnesota win. The Tigers had no answer for Tatis Jr., who finished the day 5-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 4 runs scored. "What can I say? My guys could've shot the ball out of a rifle and he'd probably hit them out anyway," said Detroit skipper A.J. Hinch. "There's nothing you can do when a guy gets in that kind of zone, you just hope he cools down some before you have to face him again." When asked about his record performance, Tatis Jr. responded, "After the first two I just tried to do everything the same way and it worked." Fernando Tatis Jr. hit a solo-shot off Tarik Skubal in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Tarik Skubal in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Greg Meraz in the 4th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Josh St. Clair in the 8th. So far this season Tatis Jr. is batting .276 with 40 home runs, 125 RBIs and 95 runs scored. He has 161 hits in 584 at-bats, 65 walks and a .355 OBP. Tatis Jr. has played in 150 games.
