Mariners Prevail, as League Championship Series Goes to the Wire Tuesday, October 26th , 2032 There certainly wasn't much separating the Seattle Mariners and New York Yankees in this year's League Championship Series. In the end, it was the Mariners advancing to the World Series with a 5-0 win at Yankee Stadium, to cap off a thrilling 4-3 series win. Mariners right-hander and series MVP Yefri Del Rosario took a short break from the clubhouse victory celebration to tell BNN reporters that "winning a series in the last game makes it all the more sweet." For the series, Del Rosario's performance no doubt made things even sweeter. He had a 1.29 ERA over 7 innings pitched, with a 3-0 record. The Seattle Mariners will play against the Atlanta Braves in the next round. Atlanta won their series against the Cincinnati Reds 4 games to 3.
