Conerly Hits in 31 Straight Games Saturday, October 2nd , 2032 Geoff Conerly, right fielder for the Baltimore Orioles, ran his consecutive-game hitting streak to 31 games with 1 hit in his club's 3-1 victory today over the Houston Astros at Oriole Park at Camden Yards today. "Not the outcome we wanted," Houston manager Craig Counsell said. "There's never a good time to lose, and it's never fun to be on the wrong end of somebody else's accomplishment." Geoff Conerly flied out in the 1st, struck out in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Sean White in the 8th. So far in 2032 Conerly is batting .270 with 47 home runs, 121 RBIs and 96 runs scored. He has 168 hits in 622 at-bats and a .319 OBP. |
