Conerly Keeps Hit Streak Alive Saturday, September 25th , 2032 Geoff Conerly has been ripping hits every day for a while now, and nobody seems able to stop him. The Baltimore right fielder picked up 1 more today against the Tampa Bay Rays and now has a 25-game hitting streak. The Orioles won the game 6-2. "Definitely somebody's going to stop me at some point," he said later, chuckling. "I'll enjoy it for the time being." Geoff Conerly flied out in the 1st, flied out in the 4th, flied out in the 5th, singled in the 8th and struck out in the 9th. So far this season Conerly is batting .267 with 44 home runs, 115 RBIs and 92 runs scored. He has 159 hits in 595 at-bats, 48 walks and a .317 OBP. Conerly has played in 151 games. |
