Year Ends for Josh Hammel in Miami Thursday, September 23rd , 2032 Josh Hammel has to call it a season. The Miami Marlins reliever sustained a season-ending injury against the Milwaukee Brewers and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Hammel was injured while throwing a pitch. His doctors diagnosed it as a herniated disc and stated that he would not be able to play for 2-3 months. So far this year Hammel has made 44 relief appearances with no saves, thrown 81.2 innings and struck out 111 with a 5-4 record. |
