Swing! Swang! Swung! Cook Smashes 3 HR Sunday, August 29th , 2032 Fans are still buzzing after Colorado whipped the San Francisco Giants by the score of 13-4 today at Colorado Field. Chris Cook smashed three home runs in the contest, a feat that would be a career highlight for most players and few fans ever see. In a tremendous performance, the designated hitter bashed out 3 hits in 3 at-bats, had 4 RBIs and scored 3 times. At the postgame press conference, Cook said it was an "unbelievable" feeling to hit three home runs in a game. "Getting one homer is special, and two is great," Cook said. "Three is just... wow." Chris Cook hit a two-run home run off Chris McLanahan in the 1st, walked in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Jeremy Sampson in the 4th and hit a solo-shot off Gabe Salazar in the 5th. For the year Cook is hitting .319 with 23 home runs. His stats include 64 runs batted in and 45 runs scored. |
