Isbell Goes Downtown 3 Times Against Nationals Tuesday, August 17th , 2032 Today was a special one for Joe Isbell of the New York Yankees as he slammed three home runs in the 13-4 win over the Washington Nationals. "Lately, I've been uppercutting the ball too much," he said to sportswriters after the game. "I would hit it hard, but they just went sky high and stayed in the ballpark. No big long outs for me in this game. I leveled out my swing and connected on the sweet spot. I knew they were gone the minute I hit 'em." The New York center fielder collected 5 hits in 5 at-bats, drove in 8, and scored 4 runs in the contest at Nationals Park. Joe Isbell hit an RBI double in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Ben Adams in the 4th, hit a solo-shot off Jackson Rutledge in the 6th, walked in the 8th and hit a GRAND SLAM off Jordan Echols in the 9th. In the 2032 season Isbell is hitting .326 with 36 home runs. |
