Injury Takes Toll, D.J. Tardiff Out Sunday, August 8th , 2032 Baseball can be a contact sport at times. It can exact a harsh toll on a player's body. In a recent game against New York Yankees, Rays left fielder D.J. Tardiff was injured throwing the ball and is expected to miss 3-4 weeks with a sprained ankle. The team did not announce any roster moves today related to this injury. The Tampa Bay skipper told BNN that personnel decisions would be announced as early as tomorrow. So far in 2032 Tardiff is batting .278 with 41 home runs, 107 RBIs and 79 runs scored. He has 116 hits in 417 at-bats and a .353 OBP. |
