AL Awards Player of the Week Trophy Monday, July 19th , 2032 It's always a thrill for fans of the team and students of the game alike when a superstar in the making shows what he's got. Jon Rodriguez, the Tampa Bay Rays 25-year-old right fielder, put himself in the spotlight last week making him the clear-cut choice for American League Player of the Week honors. He ripped 10 hits in 29 at-bats, compiling a .345 average with 5 home runs and 12 RBIs. This season Rodriguez has hit at a .334 clip with 84 RBIs, 28 home runs and 79 runs scored. |
