Reds Drop Another One, 6-2
|
The Texas Rangers knocked off the Cincinnati Reds, 6-2, at Globe Life Field. Adolis García was a big reason Texas won. The left fielder was 3 for 4 with a home run, a triple, and a double. He scored 2 times and drove in 4. Picking up the win was Jon Gray. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 10 hits. The right--hander struck out 3 and walked 0. Cincinnati is 14-15 after the loss.
García contributed a big hit, a 2-run home run, for Texas in the bottom of the third. With his team trailing 2-1, García took a sinker from Jose Quintana and stroked the home run to left. His 5th home run of the season allowed the Rangers to leap in front, 3-2.
"I just tried to make good contact," said García.
