The Houston Astros went home winners at Minute Maid Park, thanks in large part to starter Lance McCullers Jr.. McCullers Jr. stifled the Texas Rangers, enabling Houston to grab the 6-1 win. The win gives the Astros a record of 8-7.

McCullers Jr. earned the win, going 7 strong innings for Houston. The right-hander allowed just 3 hits, while striking out 8. Texas hitters had little success against him.

"I just tried to attack the bottom of the zone," McCullers Jr. said.
