Giants Walk It Off for 8th Win of Season
|
San Francisco Giants starter Alex Wood was locked-in. He led his team to a win over the Washington Nationals, 4-2. San Francisco reliever Camilo Doval picked up the win to move to 1-0. Hunter Harvey suffered the loss. San Francisco, now 8-5, has gotten their season off to a good start.
San Francisco won the game in the bottom of the tenth inning. With no outs and Hunter Harvey on the mound for Washington, first baseman Keston Hiura hit a dramatic 2-run home run, bringing Giants fans to their feet.
"I'm trying to keep it simple," said Hiura. "Just do my job."
