Giants Squelch Nationals Offense in Shutout Win
|
Starting pitcher Kyle Harrison was a major factor in the 5-0 San Francisco Giants triumph over the Washington Nationals. The save went to Keaton Winn, number 1 for him. San Francisco goes to 7-5.
The Giants got a big at-bat from third baseman Wilmer Flores. For the game, Flores went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave San Francisco a 2-0 lead.
"It feels good to get this one," Flores told the San Francisco Gazette.
