Nelson Palomares was masterful in helping the San Francisco Giants take down the Seattle Mariners, 4-0. The loss puts Seattle at 2-3.
Palomares earned the win to move to 2-0. In his 8.1-inning performance, he scattered 3 hits, striking out 5 and walking 1. The right-hander allowed the Mariners few scoring opportunities.
San Francisco manager Chris Monte commended his team for exhibiting "no shortage of effort."
