New York right fielder Aaron Judge was sensational. He went 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Houston beat the Yankees, 4-3. Matthew Boyd came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 3 hits in 2 innings. His record now stands at 1-0. The win gives Houston a record of 1-1.

The Astros got a big at-bat from catcher Yainer Diaz. For the game, Diaz went 1 for 2 with a double and a walk. He drove in 3 runs. In the bottom of the fifth, with runners on 1st and 3rd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Houston a 3-2 lead.

"We put it together today and came out with the win," Diaz said in postgame remarks. "That's the main thing."
