Yankees Deal Red Sox 4-0 Setback
|
Right-hander Nicholas Judice mesmerized the Boston Red Sox while leading the New York Yankees to a 4-0 victory. Picking up the save was 24-year old right-handed pitcher Kevin Aparicio. The Red Sox, now 97-63, have lost 4 in a row.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Anthony Volpe? The New York second baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Yankees on top, 2-0. For the game, Volpe had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"No one player deserves all the credit when you win," Volpe said. "And the same is true when you lose."
