Rays Score 6-1 Win Against New York
|
The New York Yankees went down to defeat to Shane McClanahan and his Tampa Bay teammates. The final score was 6-1, in favor of the Rays. McClanahan yielded 1 run over 7 innings to notch the win. He scattered 5 hits, walked 1, and struck out 10. His record improves to 7-16. The third-place Yankees now sit at 78-81.
Colton Ledbetter's at-bat in the bottom of the seventh was significant, coming with a runner on 2nd and the game tied, 1-1. The Tampa Bay right fielder hit a run-scoring single off Jared Shuster to put the Rays up.
