Texas starter Kumar Rocker put a stranglehold on the Oakland offense. The right-hander had complete command of his fastball in leading the Rangers to a 2-0 win. The winning streak has now reached 5 games for Texas.

The Rangers extended their lead in the top of the seventh. With one out and the bases loaded, Adolis García hit a sacrifice fly to make it 2-0, Texas.

"We missed opportunities once again," said losing manager Judd Lasher.
