Mets Down Braves, 6-3
|
The outcome was not decided until the very end at Citi Field.
The New York Mets in 13 innings downed the Atlanta Braves, 6-3, at Citi Field. Pete Alonso led the way, going 3-for-5 for New York. New York has a record of 68-90, placing them last in the National League East Division.
The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the 13th. With two out, Alonso hit a fastball from Carlos Rangel for a 3-run home run. The Mets, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.
"This wasn't a good win," said Alonso. "It was a great win."
