Athletics Pick Up 4-2 Win Over Seattle
|
Seattle shortstop Cole Young had a good game, even if his team did not. The Mariners dropped a 4-2 decision to Las Vegas at T-Mobile Park. Young belted 2 home runs. Las Vegas sits in third place in the American League West Division at 82-75.
Las Vegas used a clutch at-bat from Cameron Leach to capture the win. The designated hitter hammered a 3-run home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Athletics ahead, 4-2. It was his lone hit in 4 at-bats, but it was a humdinger.
Said losing manager Andres Wray: "The at-bats, obviously, needed to be better."
