The Minnesota Twins picked up a win at Las Vegas Stadium, knocking off the Las Vegas Athletics, 8-6. Starting pitcher Simeon Woods Richardson was a big reason why. By defeating Las Vegas, the first-place Twins improved to 80-74.

Minnesota used the hitting of Nick Kurtz to pick up the win. The designated hitter clubbed a 3-run home run in the top of the third inning to put the Twins on top, 7-0. For the game, Kurtz had 1 home run and 1 single in 4 at-bats.

"We'll take this win and move on," said Kurtz.
