The Las Vegas Athletics scored a convincing win at Angel Stadium of Anaheim, defeating the Los Angeles Angels, 15-2. One of the hitting stars was 29-year old catcher Alejandro Kirk who slugged 2 home runs, while scoring 3 times and driving in 4. Las Vegas's record now stands at 74-78, placing them 4th in the American League West Division.

Gage Workman drove in one run for Las Vegas. The 28-year old shortstop had a key at-bat in the top of the second. With one out and the bases loaded, he broke a 0-0 tie with a run-scoring ground out off Chih-Jung Liu. It was his 38th RBI of the season.

"Nice to score a bunch of runs," said Workman after the game.
