Twins right fielder Emmanuel Rodriguez left his imprint on his team's 7-6 win over the Cincinnati Reds. Rodriguez was 1-3 with a home run and 2 walks, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2 for Minnesota in the contest. Minnesota pitcher Joe Ryan got the win. He's now 6-4. Vladimir Gutierrez was tagged with the loss. At 74-79, the Twins are currently third in the American League Central Division.

Minnesota used the bat of Wilson Maldonado to get the win. The designated hitter hit a slider from Vladimir Gutierrez out of the park for a 3-run home run. The blast came in the top of the first inning and put the Twins on top, 3-0. It was Maldonado's lone hit, but it left a mark.

"Winning is the only objective," said Maldonado after the game.
