Los Angeles Angels starter Caden Dana found his groove in his team's 4-3 win over the Las Vegas Athletics. Picking up the save was fan favorite Max Gieg. Los Angeles sits in last place in the American League West Division at 69-82.

A defensive lapse proved costly in the contest. In the bottom of the eighth, with the game tied, Taylor Ward was at the plate when Los Angeles scored 1 on an error. The miscue enabled the Angels to go in front, 4-3.

"We were the better team," crowed Ward.
