Twins Fight for 4-3 Win
The Minnesota Twins withstood a good performance by Kansas City shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. to knock off Kansas City, 4-3, in 13 innings. Witt Jr. went 3 for 5 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 2. Jake Bird picked up the win in relief. His record improves to 3-0. Ethan Small suffered the loss. Bianger Liendo sewed up the save, his 1st.

Minnesota used the timely hitting of Danny De Andrade to seize the win. The shortstop stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the 13th inning to put the Twins on top, 4-3. It was his only hit in 3 at-bats, but it was a game-changer.

"I was seeing the ball well tonight," said De Andrade.

Minnesota is first in the American League Central Division with a record of 93-55.
