The Chicago White Sox knocked off the Minnesota Twins, 3-2, in American League action at Guaranteed Rate Field. Chicago pitcher and Florence, Alabama, native Grant Taylor had an outstanding performance. Garrett Crochet notched his 30th save of the season. Chicago is in last place in the American League Central Division with a record of 65-83.

Chicago designated hitter Marcell Ozuna produced at a critical juncture. It happened in the bottom of the eighth with Matt Canterino on the mound and Chicago leading 2-0. Ozuna struck out.

"Grant was in control from the top," said Chicago manager Sid Hamlin.
