Riding the 3-hit performance of the four-time All-Star Gunnar Henderson, the Los Angeles Angels defeated the Texas Rangers, 3-2. Los Angeles pitcher Haruaki Watanabe got the win, upping his record to 4-7. Andrew Painter got the loss. Tommy Randazzo notched his 35th save of the season.
Henderson contributed in the bottom of the third. With runners on 1st and 2nd, he hit a 2-run double. It was one at-bat among others that helped Los Angeles get the win.
Los Angeles manager Bill Webb commended his team for delivering "maximum effort."
