Nationals Sneak By Braves, 7-6
|
The Washington Nationals managed to get by the Atlanta Braves, 7-6, at Nationals Park. Washington pitcher MacKenzie Gore set himself apart with his performance. Washington reliever Victor Arano picked up the win, upping his record to 5-2. Samuel Strickland took the loss. The Nationals raised their record to 54-90.
The Nationals procured the win, in large part because of designated hitter Alex Call. In the bottom of the 14th, he produced the game-winning run-scoring single.
"Big win," said Call.
