A nice crowd turned out for a clash between the Toronto Blue Jays and Cleveland Guardians.

The Toronto Blue Jays beat the Cleveland Guardians by a score of 5-2. Toronto designated hitter Shohei Ohtani deserved the lion's share of the credit. Ohtani was 3 for 4 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 for the Blue Jays. Joe Musgrove was the winner. He's now 12-11. The loser was 27-year old right-handed pitcher Daniel Espino. Brusdar Graterol earned the save for Toronto, his 14th of the year.

Josh Kasevich helped his team take an early lead with a 2-run single. It came in the first inning, making the score 3-0, Blue Jays.

"Shohei has a really good game plan and he sticks with it," said Toronto manager Sam Saunders. "He's a consummate pro."

The Blue Jays go to 61-81, putting them 4th in the American League East Division.
