Cleveland Claims 9-6 Victory
Toronto designated hitter Shohei Ohtani had a terrific game, but it still wasn't enough to get his team a win. Ohtani hit 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice, even as Cleveland beat the Blue Jays, 9-6. Cleveland pitcher Joey Cantillo earned the win, hiking his record to 18-3. Brusdar Graterol suffered the loss. Picking up his 32nd save was 30-year old right-handed pitcher Emmanuel Clase.

Cleveland needed the clutch hitting of Miguel Bleis to seal the deal. The center fielder swatted a 3-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Guardians on top, 7-6. For the game, Bleis had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.

"You know, at the end of the day, it's about who scores the most runs," said Cleveland manager Mike Parrish.

The third-place Guardians have a record of 70-71.
