Baseball fans saw a good contest between the Arizona Diamondbacks and San Francisco Giants.
The Arizona Diamondbacks got a good effort from starter Zac Gallen in defeating the San Francisco Giants at Oracle Park. The final score was 4-2. The winning pitcher was Gallen, now 12-10. He tossed 7.1 innings of 5-hit ball, while walking 1 and fanning 11. The save was credited to Raisel Iglesias, his 39th.
Geraldo Perdomo, the 24-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Perdomo contributed a run-scoring walk in the top of the sixth inning to put Arizona up, 2-0.
"It was just a matter of executing," said Arizona manager Jim Silveira Sr..
The winning streak has now reached 5 games for the Diamondbacks.
