Kansas City first baseman Vinnie Pasquantino was sensational. He was 3 for 5 with a home run and 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs and scored once, but it wasn't enough to rally his team to a win. Houston beat the Royals, 5-4. Ryan Pressly got the save, the 38th for him this season. With the win, the Astros have a record of 74-63.

The Astros got an important contribution from second baseman Jose Altuve, who in the bottom of the fourth punched a first pitch fastball into left-center for a 2-run double. It was his 34th double of the season and put the Astros ahead, 4-1.

"Honestly, I'm not frustrated," said Kansas City manager Patrick Ochs. "The effort was great."
