Spirited fans greeted the Texas Rangers for their clash with the Oakland Athletics.

Oakland first baseman Brent Rooker made his presence felt in the 8-6 Athletics triumph over the Texas Rangers. Rooker was 2-4 with 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice. Drew Rucinski was the winner. Over 5 innings, he allowed 3 runs on 4 hits, with 6 walks and 3 strikeouts.
