San Diego starter Miguel Yajure pitched well against the Colorado Rockies at Petco Park. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Jose Meneses earned the save for San Diego, his 24th. San Diego now sports a record of 77-59.

The game was at a stalemate until right fielder Diego Hernandez came to bat in the bottom of the eighth. Facing Colorado pitcher JoJo Romero, he hit a 1-1 fastball for a run-scoring single. It was a game-changer, putting San Diego on top, 3-2.
