Washington Bats Go Silent in 5-0 Loss
|
Right-hander Chase Dollander mesmerized the Washington Nationals while leading the Philadelphia Phillies to a 5-0 victory. With the win, Philadelphia has a record of 69-64. Washington falls to 74-60.
The Phillies got a big hit from right fielder Nick McLain. Facing Washington pitcher Bryan Sanchez in the bottom of the fifth, McLain pounded a run-scoring double to right-center. His 15th double of the season put the Phillies ahead, 2-0.
"Solid game, solid win tonight," said a smiling McLain.
