Minnesota got a decent performance from pitcher Pablo Lopez, but it wasn't enough to beat the Texas Rangers. Texas won the Target Field contest, 4-3. Lopez threw 6.1 innings of 5-hit ball for the losing team. Mitch Bratt came out of the bullpen to earn the win. The left-hander allowed no runs on 4 hits in 1.2 innings. His record now stands at 6-4. Caleb Ferguson nailed down his 30th save.

Justin Foscue had a direct impact on the outcome. Foscue contributed a run-scoring ground out in the top of the fourth inning to put Texas up, 3-0.

"Scoring runs is scoring runs," said Texas skipper Eric Jones. "It's important to have different ways to do it."

The Rangers now have a record of 63-67.
